Dear friends ,
Greetings to you. It is hard to believe we are halfway through 2024!
In the last Prayer World I had a praise item, mentioning the appointment of our new Administrator.
David Carter is married to Hilda and they have 2 children, Sasha (20) and Jeremy (15).
David has a business degree from Massey University and has a background in customer service, administration and information technology.
For the past 12 years David and Hilda (who is Chilean) have been involved in church planting in Argentina and Chile. David has also taught English at various Educational facilities in Chile.
We are very privileged to have David join our team and I am looking forward to his impact in the office. His heart for mission and reaching the unreached with the Good News of Jesus means he will fit right in with us here at Reach Beyond NZ.
I want to thank Alisa, who, although she resigned and moved away to Feilding, has carried on doing some accounting work for us while we searched for a new administrator. We would not have made it through this time without her doing this for us. We are blessed to have such people connected with the mission.
David’s arrival comes at a good time because, by the time you read this, I will be at the EMDC conference in Thailand (I mentioned this last month), so having David in the office while I am away will be fantastic. A week after I get back to NZ, I head to Munich for our Global Leadership Team meetings (all the country office and regional directors from around the world), which I am chairing. Please do pray from me as I chair these important meetings. Reach Beyond worldwide is going from strength to strength with each country office having distinct ministries and working together on other projects.
Recently, I had someone, a non-Christian friend ask me, “Why do you do what you do?” When they asked that question, I had just received this listener response from Dale in Australia.
“I am so blessed to receive your messages. Every day I hear the word of God. I play the word of God through a loudspeaker in my company. Now, my company is growing financially. There are 45 people in my company who are hearing the word of God every week. I am not a Christian by birth, but now I believe in Jesus and pray every day. Please pray for my family to accept the living God.”
What better thing to invest our lives, gifts and talents into? “..but now I believe in Jesus..”
Please don’t forget, I would love to come and visit your church, or homegroup. I love telling the stories of lives changed and of all the other wonderful things that are happening here in NZ and around the world as the ministry of Reach Beyond goes beyond borders, beyond words and beyond ourselves.
