On the first of, hopefully, many trips to work with refugees, we sent a team made up of six wonderful people to the camp at Moria. The team was very diverse, in both ages and occupations. The main job at camp was food distribution to the thousands of women and children who lined up at the container for each meal. Between meals, the team connected with the volunteers from inside the camp and played many games of skip rope with the children. The team worked extremely hard over the two weeks, enduring the cold and sacrificing their health, to be the hands and feet of Jesus inside the camp.
“My favourite memory of working in the camp was making the kids smile, spreading joy by playing games with them and showing God’s love to them every day. To see the impact on people’s lives with a little bit of our time and effort was truly amazing and eye-opening.”
